Career options in Law:
1) Legal practice

2) Legal manager:
With increasing globalization, liberalization and open trade policies every growing company requires legal advisory on its board to frame and vet its corporate policies and financial decisions. Legal managers play a vital role in negotiating contracts for the company, ensuring and monitoring compliance with laws, and handling legal disputes that the company may be involved in. Only a legal manager can decide if a business decision is in best interests of every share holder of the company not mere in financial terms but also in legal terms. Aspiring legal managers of National law schools are placed in MNC’s like GE Capital, ICICI Bank, ITC, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, Dr. Reddy's, Biocon, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, KPMG, HLL.
3) Law firms:
A law firm is usually a partnership between lawyers who have come together to offer their expertise to clients under one name. These law firms cater to the interests of large corporate houses and private individuals. Work at a law firm involves dealing with a wide variety of problems that may or may not be restricted to a particular area of the law depending on the specialization and culture of the firm.
Major law firms, both Indian and foreign, recruit from the top Indian law schools. Among the major recruiters from the domestic legal schools are top law firms such as Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A. Shroff & Co, AZB Partners, J.Sagar & Associates, and Luthra & Luthra Law Offices. Foreign law firms that recruit from Indian law schools include the UK-based Linklaters Alliance, the Singapore-based Khattar & Wong, and others. Recruits join as junior associates and are promoted based on performance.
4) Legal process outsourcing:
Legal outsourcing refers to the practice of a law firm or corporation obtaining legal support services from an outside law firm or legal support services company. Outsourcing companies, primarily in India, have had success by providing services such as document review, legal research and writing, drafting of pleadings and briefs and providing patent services.
In-house law departments of major multinational corporations outsource some of their work in order to save costs.
5) Journalism
Journalism offers both challenges and rewards, and is an intellectually stimulating experience. Legal education enhances comprehensive writing and researching skills, besides equipping students with facts and figures. A law student will have the option of reporting on legal issues for which he/she needs no additional training, or on a host of other issues for which on the job learning is the best bet. Good communication skills and passion for journalism equipped with a law degree will spearhead one’s career towards great heights.

6) Research and training:
