The NIFT Selection Process
The General Ability Test (GAT) - 30%
This comprises: Quantitative Ability, Communication Ability, English Comprehension, Analytical Ability and General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
The Creative Ability Test (CAT) - 50%
This gauges your creative & innovative talent, artistic sense and observation skills through colour, illustration etc.
The Situation Test - 20%
This is required once you clear the cutoff’s for CAT & GAT. This section will test your ability to work with material given and make something relevant as per the given brief in a stipulated time frame.
